YENAGOA, Nigeria The Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State Command, has declared Bodmas Kemepadei wanted over his alleged involvement in the conspiracy and murder of 24-year-old Patrick Peresuodei in Yenagoa.
In a formal notice issued by the command, police authorities stated that the suspect is being sought in connection with the fatal incident, which reportedly occurred in the Bayelsa State capital. The declaration signals an escalation in investigative efforts as law enforcement agencies intensify moves to apprehend individuals linked to the case.
The police called on members of the public to provide credible information that could lead to Kemepadei’s arrest, assuring that all tips would be treated with confidentiality. Residents were urged to report to the nearest police station or use official security contact lines rather than engage in vigilantism.
Although authorities have yet to disclose comprehensive details about the circumstances surrounding Peresuodei’s death, officials confirmed that the suspect is wanted for alleged conspiracy and murder in line with applicable provisions of Nigeria’s criminal statutes. The command reiterated that investigations remain ongoing and that further updates will be communicated through official channels.
The Bayelsa State Police Command emphasized its constitutional responsibility to protect lives and property, noting that declaring a suspect wanted is a standard legal procedure when a person of interest is unavailable for arrest or fails to respond to police invitations.
Security developments in Bayelsa continue to draw public attention, particularly within the broader Niger Delta region, where sporadic violent incidents have prompted renewed advocacy for intelligence driven policing and community collaboration.
At the time of filing this report, no additional arrests had been officially confirmed in connection with the case, and no timeline has been announced for prosecution proceedings.
