Reported By Sele Media Africa | Ihuoma Amarachi
OSOGBO / ABEOKUTA — A man and two herbalists have confessed to luring and killing a missing Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer in Ogun State, and her daughter — allegedly for ritual purposes. [1]
Suspects Reveal Grim Details – The prime suspect, Victor Fajemirokun, boyfriend of the late officer, admitted he lured 39‑year‑old FRSC official Lasisi Funmilayo and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, from Ogun to Ijebu‑Ijesa in Osun State after a cleric told him the woman had “used his glory.” He claimed the ‘spiritual consultation’ convinced him she needed to be eliminated to relieve his misfortune. [1] – He said that on arrival, the victims were handed over to herbalists for rituals. One, Gboyega Daramola (aka “Aberefa”), allegedly ordered the murder, while another accomplice, Sunday James, admitted to slitting their throats and mutilating the bodies. [1] – The police recovered the remains: Madame Funmilayo’s body was found dumped near Esa‑Odo Dam in Osun State; the daughter’s body was recovered from a bush. Both remains had vital parts missing, consistent with rituals. [2]
How the Crime Unfolded-
Funmilayo and her daughter were declared missing after leaving their residence in Abeokuta on November 2, 2025. [1] – After investigations, the Osun State Police arrested Daramola on November 16, 2025, and pressure from intelligence work and confession led to the apprehension of Sunday James. [2] – Fajemirokun — who fled Nigeria — was captured in Ghana and extradited through cooperation with the Ghana Police and INTERPOL. [3]
Official Response & What’s Next
The Osun State Police Command, via Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Gotan, confirmed the arrest of all three suspects and said efforts are ongoing to apprehend other accomplices. He assured the public that suspects will be charged once investigations conclude. [2] Authorities have condemned the act as ritualistic murder, urging the public to report suspicious offers of “spiritual cleansing” or “quick success” schemes tied to occult practices.
