The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the brutal murder of a commercial motorcyclist in Agbor, Delta State. [1]
According to a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson, Bright Edafe, the victim, identified as 53‑year‑old Friday Irogbo, had been reported missing after leaving his home with his motorcycle and failing to return. Nine days later, the suspect, 25‑year‑old Musa Buhari, was arrested and confessed to the crime. He revealed that he and an accomplice lured Irogbo into a bush near power‑lines along the Oki‑Agbor axis, attacked him with a hoe, and stole his motorcycle and phone. The stolen phone was later found in Buhari’s possession. [2]
Delta State Police Commissioner Abaniwonda Olufemi described the arrest as “intelligence‑led” and reiterated the Command’s commitment to bringing other accomplices currently at large to justice. [2]
Authorities have confirmed that the victim’s body was recovered and investigations are ongoing to dismantle the syndicate behind the attack.
