The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has launched a free digital skills empowerment programme targeting 8,400 Nigerians in commemoration of the 84th birthday of its General Overseer, Enoch Adeboye. The initiative is designed to equip participants with practical digital competencies and improve employment prospects in Nigeria’s growing technology-driven economy.
According to church officials, the programme—organised under RCCG Continent 3—will begin in March 2026 and forms part of activities marking Adeboye’s birthday celebration. The initiative aims to address youth unemployment and bridge the digital divide by providing accessible, industry-relevant training opportunities.
Participants will receive training in high-demand digital fields, including graphic design, video editing, digital marketing, animation, social media management, and content monetisation. Organisers say the programme is structured to support job seekers, entrepreneurs, and young creatives seeking to build sustainable income streams through digital platforms.
The training will be coordinated by the Love Transformation Academy in partnership with Faith Cometh Multimedia Consultants, with RCCG facilities serving as learning centres to ensure wider access. The organisers noted that the hybrid model will enable participants without personal devices or reliable internet connectivity to benefit from the programme through designated study hubs.
Church leaders described the initiative as both a tribute to Adeboye’s legacy and a broader contribution to national development. By focusing on digital capacity-building, the programme seeks to position participants for opportunities in Nigeria’s expanding digital economy while fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
The RCCG has historically marked Adeboye’s birthdays with social impact programmes, including education, healthcare, and youth empowerment initiatives, reflecting the church’s emphasis on community development alongside spiritual outreach.
