Tinubu Arrives Lagos for High-Level Engagements with Private Sector Stakeholders
Lagos, Nigeria – September 27, 2025 President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Lagos on Friday for a working visit, aimed at strengthening ties with the private sector and reviewing key economic and infrastructure initiatives. According to sources in the Presidency, Tinubu’s Lagos agenda includes closed-door meetings with major players in finance, manufacturing, energy, and tech, as part of efforts to boost investor confidence amid Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms. “The President is here to listen directly to industry leaders, understand their challenges, and align policy measures to support local businesses,” said a senior official in the Ministry of Trade and Investment. Tinubu is expected to: Engage with Dangote Group, BUA, MTN, and UBA executives[9/27, Visit ongoing federal infrastructure projects including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Meet with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and select cabinet members for joint briefings. The visit is also seen as part of his broader push for “Renewed Hope Agenda” implementation at state levels. Discussions are also likely to address:
– Rising inflation and forex instability
– Fuel subsidy removal impacts
