In a significant security development in Kwara State, three senior leaders of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) have been arrested by security forces over their alleged involvement in kidnapping operations and the sponsorship of armed bandit groups terrorising communities across the state.

According to security reports, the detained individuals — including the President of the Miyetti Allah State chapter, Idris Abubakar — face serious allegations of collaborating with criminal networks responsible for multiple kidnappings and facilitating bandit operations within the state.

Preliminary intelligence indicates that the suspects, all reportedly over 60 years of age, have admitted to providing support to armed Fulani bandits believed to be behind a surge in kidnappings across several local government areas.
