The grieving mother of the 22-year-old preacher, who tragically lost his life after being shot at a governor’s residence, has rejected a ₦5 million compensation offered by the government. She stated that no amount of money can bring back her son or cover the pain and injustice done.
Her son, who was known for preaching peace and hope, was reportedly shot by security personnel during an incident at the governor’s house. Despite receiving medical attention, he later succumbed to his injuries.
The mother emphasized that:
• Her son was innocent and posed no threat.
• The family demands justice, not hush money.
• She wants a full investigation and accountability for those responsible.
She added, “What I want is for my son’s name to be cleared, and for those who did this to face the law. Money won’t fix what they’ve destroyed.”
The case has sparked public outrage, with many calling for transparency and consequences.
