Super Eagles Star Victor Boniface to Launch Football Academy in Akure
Nigerian international and Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, is set to open a football academy in Akure, Ondo State — a bold step aimed at nurturing the next generation of football stars in Nigeria.
The academy is expected to serve as a breeding ground for young talents, particularly from grassroots communities, offering them professional training, mentorship, and opportunities to pursue football at the highest level.
Boniface, who has become a household name in European football, says the initiative is his way of giving back to the game and creating a pathway for aspiring players who lack access to elite football development.
“I know what it feels like to come from humble beginnings and dream big. This academy will be a home for young talents with passion, discipline, and the right mindset,” he shared.
The football community and fans have lauded the move, calling it a much-needed investment in Nigerian sports infrastructure and youth empowerment.
