
Soldiers Dislodge Terrorists from Taraba Hideouts, Recover Weapons!

Troops of the 6 Brigade, Nigerian Army/Sector 3, under Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), have successfully cleared multiple terrorist hideouts in Taraba State as part of Operation Lafiya Nakowa, a renewed military push against insurgents and armed groups in the North-East.
What We Know:
- The operations were carried out in Kofai Ahmadu, Tor-Tse, and Mukurdi villages in Wukari and Donga LGAs.
- Soldiers engaged the terrorists in a gun battle, forcing them to flee and abandoning their weapons and logistics.
- Recovered items include AK-47 rifles, magazines, live ammunition, communication gadgets, and motorcycles.
Military Statement:
Brig.-Gen. Kingsley Uwa, Commander of 6 Brigade, confirmed the success, stating:
“Our troops remain committed to dismantling criminal networks. The recovered weapons are evidence of our resolve.”
