In a dramatic and bold act of resistance, residents of Bimasa town in Tureta Local Government Area of Sokoto State took matters into their own hands on Tuesday when they confronted a group of armed bandits who had abducted members of their community.

According to eyewitnesses, the residents launched a counterattack, successfully rescuing the abducted individuals and reportedly killing or injuring some of the attackers during the clash.

In a stunning and symbolic show of victory, the returning community members were seen parading through the town with a captured bandit and the severed leg of another, drawing crowds who gathered to celebrate the moment.
