
Shettima Arrives in New York for UNGA 80!

Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in New York City ahead of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80), scheduled to commence on Monday, September 23, and run through Saturday, September 28, 2025.
Shettima will represent President Bola Tinubu at several high-level meetings, including key bilateral and multilateral engagements with global leaders, international organizations, and investors.
The Vice President is expected to speak on Nigeria’s development agenda, climate resilience, economic reforms, and the country’s role in regional peace and security.
He was received at the airport by Nigerian officials and diplomats in the U.S., alongside security and protocol officers.
The Nigerian delegation will also use the opportunity to strengthen partnerships in health, education, energy, and digital innovation.
