Sele Media Africa Strengthens Ties with Jos Film and Technical Academy (JOFTA)
JOS, PLATEAU STATE — 22ND NOV. 2025- Sele Media Africa has officially opened a new chapter of collaboration with the Jos Film and Technical Academy (JOFTA) following a strategic courtesy visit by a three-member delegation led by Miss Suzan S. Daniel (Chief of Staff), accompanied by Mr. Joshua Ishaya (Managing Editor) and Mrs. Mbiya Willis (Voiceover Artist).
The visit followed a formal letter from the CEO, Amb. John Sele Philip, addressed to the Rector, Mr. Samuel Davou Rapson, expressing admiration for JOFTA’s work and outlining clear areas of partnership. In the letter, the CEO emphasized the shared commitment to advancing visual storytelling, media excellence, and youth development.
During the meeting, JOFTA leadership warmly received the delegation as the Chief of Staff presented key excerpts from the CEO’s letter, highlighting opportunities in internship placement, documentary collaborations, media visibility, and technical capacity building.
Both institutions agreed to explore:
• Internship placements for JOFTA students at Sele Media Africa’s production facilities
• Masterclasses and workshops on journalism, film, and digital media
• Joint documentary projects on regional development, culture, and social issues
• Technology and studio resource exchanges
The Rector praised the initiative as a timely alignment of vision, while Sele Media Africa reaffirmed its commitment to supporting creative and technical talent within Plateau State.
