Vice President Kashim Shettima has called on local and international automakers to significantly ramp up the production of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and electric vehicles in Nigeria, stressing the urgency of transitioning to cleaner, affordable mobility solutions.
“We can no longer delay the shift to sustainable transport. Automakers must lead by scaling local CNG and EV production,” Shettima said at an energy-mobility forum in Abuja.
