Russian Airstrike Kills 24 Pensioners in Eastern Ukraine Village
In a devastating escalation of hostilities, a Russian airstrike killed at least 24 civilians and injured 19 others in the village of Yarova, Donetsk region, eastern Ukraine, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The victims, predominantly elderly residents, were gathered near a mobile post office to collect their monthly pensions when a Russian glide bomb struck the area around 11 a.m. local time. [1]
