Police Arrest Notorious Transformer Vandal in Kwara!

The Kwara State Police Command has apprehended a notorious transformer vandal, Samson Ayodele, who was caught in the act while attempting to steal critical components from a power installation supplying electricity to Koro Town in the Ekiti Local Government Area.
According to police spokesperson Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the suspect was arrested during a surveillance operation following repeated complaints from residents about persistent power outages due to transformer thefts.
“This arrest is a breakthrough in our fight against infrastructure vandalism, which sabotages public utilities and endangers community development,” she said.
Recovered from the scene were insulated copper wires, transformer oil containers, and tools typically used for dismantling electrical installations.
Ayodele, reportedly linked to multiple previous vandalism cases across Kwara, will be charged in court after investigations are concluded.
