Police Arrest Notorious Beninese Fugitive, Hand Him Over to Cotonou Authorities
Abeokuta, Ogun State – September 28, 2025 The Nigeria Police Force has successfully arrested Sunday Kotin, a notorious fugitive from the Benin Republic, who had been on the run for months. The suspect was apprehended during a discreet intelligence-led operation in Ogun State and has since been handed over to authorities in Cotonou. According to police sources, Kotin had been wanted in connection with multiple crimes including armed robbery, human trafficking, and cross-border smuggling, with international alerts issued by Beninese authorities through INTERPOL.
