Peter Obi Tried to Bribe Me, But I Rejected the Offer – Deji Adeyanju Alleges | #PoliticsNigeria

Activist and political commentator Deji Adeyanju has alleged that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, attempted to bribe him during the election campaign season.

Speaking in a recent interview, Adeyanju claimed that Obi persistently tried to contact him throughout 2023, despite his efforts to remain politically neutral.

“He (Peter Obi) was persistent in reaching out to me in 2023 and I was avoiding him. I didn’t want to support anybody because I’m not partisan,” Adeyanju said.

According to him, when he eventually agreed to meet the former Anambra State governor, Obi offered him an envelope, which he described as “just a small change.”

“I rejected the offer immediately,” Adeyanju added.

The allegation adds a new layer to the ongoing political tensions between Obi’s supporters and critics, especially in light of recent legal actions Obi has taken against alleged defamation.
