Oluwagbemisoke Alaka, a 16-year-old final-year student of African Grammar School, Ita Iyalode, Abeokuta, on Thursday assumed the symbolic role of “One-Day Commissioner” for Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State. During her brief tenure, she passionately called on the government to prioritize investment in digital education infrastructure across schools in the state.
Speaking at the Ministry’s headquarters in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Oluwagbemisoke emphasized the need to equip students with modern learning tools to compete globally.
“Digital education is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Our classrooms need to reflect the world we’re preparing for,” she said.
