Reported By Marian Opeyemi Fasesan | Sele Media Africa
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced physical verification of credentials and travel documents for foreign-trained Nigerian graduates who registered for the 2025 Batch ‘C’ Service Year.
In a statement issued Monday, the NYSC urged all affected individuals to appear at designated centers with original copies of their academic certificates, travel documents, and means of identification.
“This process is crucial to ensure the authenticity of academic qualifications presented,” the statement noted.
Key Points:
- The exercise is taking place simultaneously across all NYSC zonal offices.
- Only verified candidates will be cleared for mobilization and subsequent posting.
- The NYSC warned against presenting forged documents, stating such acts attract disqualification and prosecution.
Why It Matters:
- The verification ensures the integrity of the national service scheme.
- It helps curb the influx of fake foreign credentials often linked to diploma mills.
- Mobilized graduates play a vital role in national development across key sectors.
