A petrol‐laden tanker exploded early today in the Oju Irin / Lafenwa area of Abeokuta, Ogun State, sparking fears that many lives have been lost.
Eyewitnesses say the tanker overturned before bursting into flames, sending shockwaves through nearby shops, vehicles, and buildings that were caught in the inferno.
