Lagos PDP Exco Rejects ‘Illegal’ State Congress

The executive members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State have disowned a recent state congress allegedly conducted by a faction loyal to former Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George.

In a statement released on Friday, the Lagos PDP Exco described the congress as “illegal, unauthorised, and a deliberate attempt to destabilize the party structure in the state.”

They emphasized that any congress not sanctioned by the National Working Committee (NWC) is null and void, and urged party members to remain united ahead of the 2027 general elections.
