Lagos College Provost Jailed Three Years for Forgery

A Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has convicted and sentenced Samson Orijugo, the provost of Adonai Advanced Institute of Management, to three yearsโ imprisonment for forgery. The judge ruled that Orijugo forged a result notification on Lagos State University (LASU) letterhead to mislead a student and falsely represent that the institute was affiliated with LASU. [1]Justice Modupe NicoโClay convicted Orijugo on a twoโcount charge of forgery, holding that the prosecution proved its case beyond a reasonable doubt. The offence, which took place in 2015 at Badagry, involves forging a result notification issued to a student, John Chibuzor Okoro, using LASUโs credentials to gain an advantage.
