JUST IN: Court to Deliver Judgment in Kanu’s Terrorism Case November 20!
By Marian Opeyemi Fasesan | Sele Media Africa
The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed November 20, 2025, for judgment in the terrorism case against Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The decision was announced on Friday following final arguments by both the prosecution and defence teams.
Kanu faces charges related to terrorism, incitement, and unlawful broadcasting, which he and his supporters have repeatedly denied, calling the charges politically motivated.
Why It Matters:
- The case has drawn national and international attention due to its political sensitivity and implications for separatist movements in Nigeria.
- A conviction or acquittal could have wide-reaching effects on security, political dialogue, and regional stability in the South-East.
- Human rights groups and foreign observers have closely monitored the trial for due process and fairness.
