“I’m Literally Tired of Being Single,” Says Nkechi Blessing Sunday

LAGOS, Nigeria — Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has candidly expressed her frustration with prolonged singlehood, revealing that this is the longest period she has remained unattached.

In a recent Instagram video, the 36-year-old actress shared her sentiments:

⁠“I am literally tired of being single. This is actually the longest that I have been single. Before, once I leave a relationship, two working days, I don find another relationship.” [1]

This admission comes after her breakup with younger partner Xxssive in 2024, following a previous split from Ekiti-born politician Opeyemi Falegan in 2022. [2]

Earlier in June 2024, Nkechi had hinted at her readiness for marriage, influenced by the weddings of celebrities like Davido and Sharon Ooja. She took to Instagram, stating:

⁠“I don ready. I be no ready before. Dey will pressure you no panic, I panic. The pressure is much, love sweet o. Don’t let anybody tell you otherwise, love is a beautiful thing.” [3]

Despite these declarations, by May 2025, she clarified her stance, asserting:> “I’m single but not searching. I left Nigeria over a month ago and I’m simply enjoying the peace that comes with being alone.” [4]
