A viral social media controversy has erupted involving popular Nigerian comedian Jephthah Bowoto, widely known as Akpororo.
A man has publicly accused the entertainer of allegedly abandoning his Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon at a hotel after the luxury vehicle reportedly broke down and was left unattended on the premises for several months.
In a now-viral video circulating across social media platforms, the accuser called on Akpororo to clarify his situation, stating:
Akpororo, if you’re broke, please tell us. You abandoned your G-Wagon at this hotel for months because you don’t have money to fix it after it broke down. Please come and take your car; the hotel management is tired.
According to the man, the vehicle has allegedly remained within the hotel premises for over nine months, occupying space while awaiting repairs that have yet to be carried out. Hotel staff were reportedly growing increasingly frustrated over the prolonged situation.
The allegation has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users mocking the comedian and questioning his financial status, while others urged caution and called for verified facts before drawing conclusions.
As of the time of filing this report, Akpororo has not publicly responded to the claims. Efforts to reach representatives of the comedian for comments were unsuccessful.
The incident has added to ongoing online discussions surrounding the comedian, although it remains unclear whether the allegation reflects Akpororo’s financial situation or stems from a misunderstanding. Further updates are expected as more information becomes available
