Five Drug Traffickers Jailed, Forfeit Assets to FG!

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has secured the conviction of five members of an international drug trafficking syndicate, who have been sentenced to a combined 21 years in prison by a Federal High Court in Lagos.
The agency confirmed that the traffickers were arrested at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, in possession of illicit substances concealed in luggage, body cavities, and parcels bound for Europe and Asia.
“The convicts were part of a coordinated transnational trafficking ring. The court not only sentenced them but ordered the forfeiture of proceeds and assets linked to their crimes,” said NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi.
