Sele Media Africa | National News FG Declares Friday, September 5, 2025, Public Holiday to Mark Eid-ul-Mawlid By Sele Media Africa | September 3, 2025 ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Federal Government has declared Friday, September 5, 2025, as a public holiday to commemorate Eid-ul-Mawlid, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).This announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement issued by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, in Abuja. [1]In the statement, Dr. Tunji-Ojo extended warm greetings to Muslims in Nigeria and around the world, urging them to emulate the Prophet’s virtues of peace, love, humility, tolerance, and compassion.
