EFCC Arrests Ex-LG Chairmanship Aspirant for N14m Fraud in Benue!

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Fanen Ochough, a former local government chairmanship aspirant in Gwer West, Benue State, over an alleged N14 million fraud and impersonation.
The arrest was carried out by operatives of the EFCC’s Makurdi Zonal Directorate, following petitions from victims who claimed Ochough posed as a government official offering fake contracts and job placements.
“The suspect allegedly collected large sums from multiple individuals under false pretenses,” the EFCC said in a statement on Tuesday.
