Ebonyi State security agencies have discovered shallow graves containing mutilated bodies in the troubled communities of Amasiri and Oso Edda, in Afikpo and Edda Local Government Areas of the state. The grim find comes amid intensified security operations following recent communal violence linked to a long-standing boundary dispute between the two neighbouring communities.

Joint teams from the Nigerian Army, Nigerian Police Force, Department of State Services (DSS), and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been deployed to the affected communities to restore calm, protect lives, and uncover evidence of atrocities.
