Cole Palmer Admits to Steering Clear of Moisés Caicedo in Training
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has revealed that he consciously avoids close encounters with teammate Moisés Caicedo during training sessions, citing the Ecuadorian’s relentless playing style.
In an interview with Sky Sports Premier League, Palmer lauded Caicedo’s ability to regain possession, stating:
"Yeah, amazing. The way he just wins the ball back. When you think he can’t get the ball, and he does. He’s non-stop. He’s always there. He’s been amazing this season."
When asked about facing Caicedo in training, Palmer admitted:
"I don’t go near him, to be honest. Obviously I played against him in training, but I just avoid that one. Not avoid it, but when he’s near me, I’ll say, 'Moi, chill today.'" [1]
Caicedo’s impact on the team has been widely recognized. He was named both Chelsea’s Men’s Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season, underscoring his importance to the squad. [1]
Palmer’s comments highlight the respect and admiration he holds for Caicedo’s tenacity and skill on the field.
