BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Pleads for Transfer from DSS Custody to National Hospital — Cites Urgent Medical Needs
Reported by Suzan Daniel | Sele Media Africa
Abuja, Nigeria – The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has appealed to the Federal High Court in Abuja, requesting an immediate transfer from DSS custody to the National Hospital, citing deteriorating health conditions.
During a court session earlier today, Kanu’s legal team raised strong concerns over his well-being, alleging that the Department of State Services (DSS) has failed to provide him with adequate medical care.
“My client’s health is in critical condition,” his lawyer stated, “and continued detention under current conditions may endanger his life.”
The plea adds to growing public concern and human rights conversations surrounding his prolonged detention. Supporters and observers alike are urging the court to consider the request on humanitarian grounds.
What do you think? Should the court grant Kanu’s request?
