As preparations got underway for the Anambra State governorship election on Saturday, some youths were spotted playing football near Polling Unit 003 in Awka 2, Ward 6, Awka South LGA.

Eyewitnesses say the game began early in the morning while INEC officials were setting up.

“We came out early to vote, but things were still slow, so we decided to play while waiting,” one of the youths said.
