Akpabio Offers 700 Lagos Residents Free Medical Treatment

[1]The one‑day free medical outreach offered consultations, prescribed drugs, and eyeglasses to beneficiaries who turned out in large numbers to access the services. The exercise, held on Saturday, is part of a series of humanitarian outreaches organised under the office of the Senate President and represents the third edition of the programme, following similar interventions in Osogbo (Osun State) and Yankaba (Kano State). [1] Speaking at the event, Ahmed Tijani Mustapha, Senior Legislative Aide to the Senate President and convener of the initiative, said the outreach reflects a commitment to giving back to society and promoting good health as one of life’s most valuable gifts. He explained that the Lagos edition was intentionally held in the state to ensure that the impact of the initiative extends beyond Akpabio’s home region, underscoring the national role of the Senate President’s office. [1]Beneficiaries expressed gratitude, describing the gesture as timely and impactful, particularly for those who struggle to afford basic healthcare services.
