A High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has scheduled November 13, 2025 for the hearing of a legal dispute involving the multi‑billion‑naira Apo Resettlement Market project in Plot 1729, Cadastral Zone E27, Apo District. [1]
The matter stems from a joint‑venture disagreement between Manillah Integrated Partners Ltd (and affiliates) and Techs & Concretes Nigeria Ltd. The applicant, Techs & Concretes, alleges that the respondents breached their agreement and proceeded with development despite a court injunction issued on April 15, 2025. [2]
Counsel for the defendants/applicants has filed motion M/10869/25 seeking punitive costs of ₦50 million and/or ₦850 million in exemplary damages, citing willful disobedience of the April 2025 court order. [3]
The court’s new date follows the postponement of the previously scheduled hearing, which was delayed due to the absence of Justice Yusuf Halilu, who was attending a workshop at the National Judicial Institute. [3]
The outcome of the hearing could determine the future of the market development and set a precedent for enforcement of court orders in large‑scale property disputes in the FCT.
