2027: Support Group Pledges Grassroots Mobilisation for Peter Mbah!

Reported by Amos Dachung Sele Media Africa Reporter

A prominent support group made up of leaders across political, professional and community sectors in Enugu State has pledged full‑scale grassroots mobilisation for Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections. [1]

Meeting in Nsukka, members of the coalition — which includes traditional rulers, captains of industry, market leaders and a multitude of signatories from across the six councils of the zone — declared that Governor Mbah “has transformed the zone in less than two years” and must be supported to continue his work. [1]

In a resolution signed by over 700 participants, the group commended Mbah’s infrastructure programme — including major roads, healthcare centres and schools — and called on all grassroots stakeholders to rally behind his continued leadership. [1]

The endorsement underscores the strategic importance of Enugu North (Nsukka Zone) which holds 102 wards, representing nearly 40 % of the state’s electoral wards, as the mobilisation effort shifts into full gear.
As the election countdown begins, the group said it will engage in door‑to‑door outreach, town‑hall meetings and community forums to spread the message of Mbah’s achievements and future vision.
