The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the Northern Zone of Plateau State has thrown its weight behind the current administration, endorsing Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.
This was revealed in a post by Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos, member of the House of Representatives, who shared photos and reflections from the high-level stakeholders’ meeting on his official Facebook page.
“I joined fellow stakeholders of our great party, the PDP Northern Zone, where we unanimously endorsed His Excellency, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, and Her Excellency, Ngo Josephine Piyo, for another term of four years come 2027,” Bagos stated.
The event brought together prominent political figures and loyal party members from across the zone. Notably present were:
- His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Jonah David Jang, elder statesman and former governor
- Former ministers
- – Ex-legislators from state and national assemblies
- Grassroots leaders and party delegates
Bagos described the gathering as a moment of unity and reaffirmation of the PDP’s direction in Plateau State.
“It was indeed a privilege to stand with respected leaders and party faithfuls,” he added. “Together, we reaffirm our commitment to unity, progress, and purposeful leadership for Plateau State.”
This early endorsement is seen as a strong show of confidence in the Mutfwang administration’s performance and a clear signal of the party’s internal cohesion ahead of 2027.
