Reality TV star and social media influencer, Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has urged Nigerians to stop channelling all their anger and criticisms solely at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and instead focus on holding all levels of government accountable.
In a trending post on X (formerly Twitter), Tacha emphasized that while Tinubu is the face of the federal government, governors, senators, House of Reps members, and local government chairmen play direct and critical roles in the delivery of basic services and development across the country.
โ โYou people would come online every day shouting Tinubu this, Tinubu that. What about your governors? What is your senator doing? What is your local government chairman doing?โ she questioned.
Tacha added that the rot in the system is not just at the top but deeply embedded across the various arms of government. She encouraged citizens to wake up, demand transparency and accountability from their local leaders, and stop behaving as though all problems begin and end with the presidency. Her statement has sparked a wave of conversations online, with many agreeing that civic awareness needs to be broadened beyond the presidency.
