The Anambra State Government has officially approved a staggering ₦43.7 billion for critical infrastructural projects across the state, focusing on roads, schools, and power, among other sectors.
The decision is part of Governor Charles Soludo’s continued effort to accelerate development, improve quality of life, and reposition Anambra as one of Nigeria’s most forward-moving states.
A breakdown of the ₦43.7 billion shows that a large portion will go into the construction and rehabilitation of strategic roads across local government areas, easing transportation and boosting economic activity. Additional funds have been earmarked for the renovation and expansion of public schools, aimed at providing a better learning environment for students.
Power and electrification projects are also included in this funding round, particularly in underserved rural communities. These efforts are expected to improve electricity access and stimulate small business growth.
